As Study Breaks’ online and assistant editor, it’s my job to bring you all the hottest news, trends, and juiciest gossip in real-time and in our fabulous magazine. I’m a senior studying public relations at UT and couldn’t have asked for a better college job than making college students the celebs of Study Breaks Magazine. I have a frequent travel bug and have been everywhere from Chicago to Hong Kong and even all the way to Zambia. The way to my heart is through my stomach, so don’t you dare take me to Olive Garden or Red Lobster. It’s not that I’m a food snob, I just enjoy learning about different food and restaurants and the culture behind them. My next food goal is to go back to San Francisco for Humphry Slocombe’s Secret Breakfast Ice Cream. I hear it’s divine. What I’m Wearing This Spring Season

I’m not always the most in tune with fashion like the other girls in the office, but I do have my favorite pieces that I think fits in with the season. I love solid tees, floral prints, and romantic colors. My outfits this spring have incorporated a lot of nude colors, pinks and corals (Surprisingly. [...]

How To Live Green Beyond Earth Day

Happy Belated Earth Day, SB readers! It’s been said that our generation is the Green Generation; we’re the generation driving the green movement. So even though yesterday was a call to action to do earth-friendly things, it doesn’t stop just here. Living green is a principle that should carry on from your day-to-day life. I’ve [...]

Thirsty Thursday: The Mojito

Ahoy, it’s finally Thursday! The glorious addition of a weekend to your average college student’s life. Though some may fancy margaritas, Texas teas, or plain ‘ol beer, my vice are mojitos. If I had the time (and money) to get a mojito (or two… or three… or four) at Cuba Libre, that would be my go-to [...]

My Favorite Disney Youtube Covers

My confession for today. I’m a sucker for all things Disney. As a little girl, I thought I would grow up to be Jasmine from Aladdin, and my biggest fears were to not be eaten by Scar of the Lion King. But most importantly, Disney taught me the best life lessons. Hakuna matata and going [...]

Study Breaks Parties with Perez Hilton

Yes, I’m late on being all OMG… but OMG. The awesome people at Samsung Focus hooked up the Study Breaks crew with a VIP night of drinking (open bar), a bunch of free schwag from sponsors Carrera, Stoli, and Vitamin Water, and the chance to stalk Perez Hilton at his One Night in Austin party during [...]

Now on a world tour (next month they’ll be performing with Justin Bieber in the Phillipines!), they’ve made a stop to Austin to [...]

Does This Shirt Make My Armpit Look Ugly?

Armpits are getting more lovin’ from Unilever. Before, we would complain about the cellulite accumulating on our inner thighs or the fat that jiggles when you wave at someone, but did you know that a recent study says 93% of women think their armpits unattractive? Almost half said they were so embarrassed, they actually changed their [...]

One Man Disney Movie

Lately in the Study Breaks office, we’ve been on a Disney songs binge. Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid… you name it, we sing it. Quite honestly, Disney just makes working a lot more enjoyable. I’m sure many of you all have heard Nick Pitera. He caught my [...]

We all know how to superman that hoe, dougie, dance to this song, jerk, do the stanky leg… the list is endless. So what’s next? Ladies and gents, I present to you: The Creep, brought to you by the creators of “I’m On A Boat” Not to mention, it fears the queen herself, Miss Nicki Minaj, [...]
