If you don’t know yet, I am a Gleek. After my hell week this week, I caught up with the Blame it on the Alcohol episode on Hulu. It’s ironic, but it was definitely motivation for me to pop open a bottle of wine at 4 in the afternoon. I had only wish I read College Candy’s post on How to Avoid a Beastly Hangover prior…
On the side note, I thought I’d share my favorite party tips! It should be helpful with all the craziness happening in March! Spring Break, SXSW..etc

1. If the punch is not strong enough.
I know this sounds gross, but it works like a charm. Mix the punch with a splash of beer, not only it makes it bubbly but it does the trick with weak punch.
2. Less is more
There is a reason why they call it pre-game, you want to have fun and not get messy… know your limit and pace your self! I would recommend hard liquor, I mean you don’t want to feel bloated before walking into a party.
3.line your stomach
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Moderation is the key to preventing a hangover. If moderation isn’t in your future, medical practice suggests that you find ways to coat your stomach. In general, eating before drinking will slow down the absorption of alcohol into your bloodstream. The fats create a nice lining in your stomach which make a tough barrier for the alcohol to penetrate (pizza, anyone?) An old trick is a shot of pink bismuth (Pepto-Bismol®) about an hour before drinking. This stuff tastes like liquid chalk but it does a heck of a job coating your stomach without all those extra calories.
4. Texts from Last Night
Avoid drunk texting by putting a passcode on your phone and if you have an Iphone download the “Don’t Dial” application! If you are too drunk to unlock, you shouldn’t be able to have access with your phone
