Music Monday: This week’s picks from the music geek

Each week I try to rotate new songs into my playlists from recently released or soon to be released albums. Now I’m giving it to you, too! I never find giant lists of new music to be helpful, because I usually only listen to a few songs at a time anyway, so here are five, carefully picked songs you should be listening to.

This week’s songs to listen to are a mashed-up combination of singles from a crop of AMAZING albums that are coming out tomorrow and bands that ruled showcase lineups at SXSW this year.

Wiz Khalifa: “The Race”
Album: Rolling Papers out March 29
Who else is tired of Black and Yellow? Yeah, we thought so.

Dom: “Living In America”
Album: Sun Bronzed Greek Gods EP
This is my kind of patriotism.

Booty City
Album: Scandalous
Not entirely sure where Booty City is, but I want to go.

Yelle: “Safari Disco Club”
Album: Safari Disco Club out March 29
English title, French lyrics, cutest girl EVER.

Starfucker: “The White of Noon”
Album: Reptilian
This amazing band is not to be confused with that horrible NIN song.

I like the selection. As a huge Starfucker fan myself, I’m very happy that I saw this. :D
