Superbowl Ring: King of all Championship rings?

With Superbowl 46 right around the corner, I think it’s time we take a look at what these guys are playing for. Let’s put aside pride, personal goals, and their desire to win for the city, and focus on the Bling-Bling that is the Ring-Ring.

Let’s start with the most recent NFL championship rings that went out to the Green Bay Packers

This bad boy has an 18 karat yellow gold G set against green stone. The logo is set with 13 diamonds that represent the team’s 13 NFL Championships. Ninety-two brilliant cut diamonds(the number of years the franchise has existed) surround the yellow gold frame. Four marquise (football-shaped) diamonds (representing the team’s four Super Bowl wins) rest at the ring’s corners

That’s some serious bling.

However, the NFL only pays up to $5,000 a ring per player. The team owner has to fork up the rest.

Now, how about America’s pastime and the MLB?

This is the San Francisco Giants 2010 World Champion ring. Not too shabby.

And the NBA?

Let’s take a look at the current world champion Dallas Mavericks Championship Ring…

Mark Cuban wasn’t going to let his players walk around without one of these wrapped around their finger. These rings are so big that they make Dirk Nowitzki look like he has normal sized hands.

And finally, lets not forget about the NHL…

The Boston Bruins 2011 championship ring is pretty impressive. Encrusted in team colors and with all their championships listed down the side, this ring is pretty damn awesome. Now, I just wish the players could wear them when they get in a fight on the ice.

Well there you have it–the championship rings from the biggest sports in America. Which one do you think is king of the rings?
